The workshop out here in Vegas has been a blast so far. As one of my new photographer friends put it "It's so fun to 'geek' out with other photographers!" Very True!
One of our cool 'anti' projects today was to break up into random groups and given a polaroid camera, 20 exposures, a cardboard Elvis, and 90 minutes - to come up with some great shots. Claire, Jen, Elvis, myself, Eliza, and Elise gave it our best effort. |

Here's Elise gettin' the shot.

I LOVE this photo of Jen (and Elvis and Claire). She looks like I often feel when I'm taking photographs...

And here's 1/4th of our teaching team. This is John Michael Cooper. Once upon a time he lit someone wearing a wedding dress on fire...

A bunch of us went out for dinner together and spent some time taking random photos around town - what fun!

April used my camera for this one. That's how it ended up on my computer - and here...

My roommate Jason got this one. I am so tough!

Dinner was kinda weird and cool all at the same time. A film crew from Chicago and New York was in the street filming a Miller Genuine Draft commercial. Our tables were also out by the street and so we frequently had to be quiet while they'd filmed a bit... "Quiet on the Set!"

Then the director decided it would be cool if people were walking in and out of the restaurant behind the actor. So what you see here are some fellow photographers now turned actors.

A couple random Vegas photos....
Because nothing says classical music like a grand piano on the back of a semi-truck. |

Vegas is really beautiful - if you love millions of neon/LED lights and whirring and blipping and chirping noises constantly bombarding your senses.
