The anti-Workshop Day 3

No photos today - but let me tell you something.
1. Chenin Boutwell and Dalisa Cooper have to be two of the sweetest ladies in the wedding photography business!
2. Doug Boutwell has more knowledge about photography and photoshop and the craft in his little finger than... well, you know the rest.
3. John Michael Cooper transformed today, as an artist, before my eyes. Not that he is any different, it's just that now I see differently. He will never be the photographer who lit a bride on fire or the photographer who recreated "Ophelia" to me ever again. What I saw today, what I experienced - there just aren't enough words. If in the future there is ever a place or a time where the art of Wedding Photography is ever celebrated and praised as Art of the highest degree - John Michael Cooper will be the first photographer to be awarded, the first installation in the Museum of greats. It's really not my story to tell, it's his alone, so I'll let him tell it to you complete someday.
But the introduction goes like this:
He has a Package Zero.
Only two couples have ever booked it - and only one of these has been completed so far.
Today, I experienced a piece of what JMC accomplished - and... I don't know what to say.
Elation.
Transcendence.
Tears.
I realize I'm gushing here and that this is the Blog of Jared Wilson Photography. But today, March 14th, 2008 - this is his day - he can have my blog.
God has gifted this man in great ways, and I was able to witness just a piece. Now my aspirations for Art and Achievement in Wedding Photography have warped into the future.
Thank you, JMC, for sharing... and for being you - no matter what. |
