I have a confession to make: I subscribe to, and read, Bridal Blogs on a regular basis. Yes, I realize that I'm way outside their target demographic - but I'm finding that as these Bridal Blogs celebrate of all things 'Wedding' it's helping me to have a heart of celebration. Not that I needed a whole lot of help, really, I just love everything about weddings and I love reading the insight from these people who also love weddings, and who work so hard to inform Brides and Grooms, Wedding Coordinators, and... the occasional male photographer.
I'm so excited to share that Elizabeth Anne Designs (one of my regular 'reads') recently featured Elena and AJ's wedding in Mexico!
In case you missed it, another one of my favorite Bridal Blogs, Southern Weddings, featured Marissa and Jeff's wedding about 6 months ago.
By now you should probably have figured out how to subscribe to your favorite blogs via RSS. So, subscribe to these wonderful Bridal Blogs and in a matter of days your mind will be overflowing with creative inspiration for your wedding day!
If I had to pick my favorite image that I've ever captured (aside from those of my family) I think that on most days I would choose this one from Angela and Drake's rehearsal.
Nisha and Akshay's wedding was my first Indian wedding. I was blown away by the wardrobes, details, and traditions.
Marissa and Jeff - Just Married.
I mentioned my favorite photo - this one might be my favorite moment. From Krystal and Brad's wedding - read more about it here.
From Stacey and Eric's wedding - time for the rings...
Did I say 'rings'? Kerri and Zane's wedding...
6 months after Julie and Brett's wedding this one cracks me up.
I had Kelly and Mike climbing these tight twisted stairs for some of their portraits and sometime in those moments I captured this shot.
Kaitlin and Jeff during the toasts.
Shauna and Aaron during the Hora.
At Erin and Colin's wedding, Erin danced with her father...
And this one is special - because it is my brother, Jonathan, and my new sister-in-law Angie.
And rounding out these moments in review is Bree and Tom's son. Sometime during the ceremony they had communion - and I believe they were using real wine...
For all the brides out there (and for those in the industry as well) - have you been to Southern Weddings Blog? They're constantly featuring unique and creative wedding ideas from people around the country.
Well, today they're featuring some of my work at Marissa and Jeff's wedding. Of course, I can't take all the credit! Julie and her team at Classic Creations did the real work. It was a beautiful wedding and I'm so happy that, thanks to Southern Weddings, now more people get to enjoy it!
Marissa and Jeff were married at the Chapel in Beaver Creek on 8-8-8. It was so beautiful and peaceful - exactly what a mountain wedding should be!
I just love this photo of Marissa's mother giving her a kiss just before the ceremony was to begin.
Marissa and Jeff looked so excited to be wed!
And the Beaver Creek chapel was a gorgeous location for the ceremony!
While waiting for the guests to leave for the reception so we could pop back out for a few photos before heading over there ourselves, I snapped this photo of Marissa and Jeff hiding in the wings... I dig it!
And then began our little photo session. Seems they were kissin' all the time! :)
Congrats guys! I pray a lifetime of joy for both of you!
If you'd like to see more, start the show! (And remember, ad the facebook app 'Showit Web' to your facebook and you can put this show right on your facebook page!)
I joined Marissa and Jeff in Chautauqua Park the night before my plane took off for California. It was a beautiful evening and reminded me of why I love Colorado and why I love doing what I do.
I guess it wasn't just the three of us.
I'd heard that if you keep on driving past Chautauqua you get to Flagstaff. I'd never been up there and I suggested we give it a try. They were up for it and we had a fun time going up the windy road and getting to know one another a bit more while Jeff kept us from going off the cliffs. I'm glad we made it up there - Stunning Vistas!
And this is probably my favorite of the evening....
My vendor for canvas wall prints can do 56"x120" size prints. Now wouldn't that be cool!
Thanks for the fun evening you two. I'm looking forward to some more time in the mountains with you very soon!
We're off to visit Grammy and Gramps in California for a bit. I'm sure I'll find ways to still work, as I've got tons to do - but finding time to give this blog and my loyal readers some love might not come so easy.
I've got so much to share with you though, even this blog might get some updates while I'm on 'vacation'!
I just really really want to show you:
Julie and Brett's Wedding
Marissa and Jeff's Engagement (featuring Scout the Dog)
Emily and Jason's Wedding
Emily and Jason were married on Sunday in Crested Butte. I've drove up there (about 4 1/2 hours +) early Sunday morning and remember passing this field on the way up. Passing it again this morning (Monday) on the way home I noticed something may have gone wrong...
I was so struck by this sight that I did a U-turn on the highway and went back to try and capture it. I could be just totally ignorant to the ways of the farmer, but to me it looks like Mr. Brown left his sprinkler on overnight and it got a little chilly in the garden. :)
