Ritz Carlton Denver Wedding - Meg and Aseem's Indian Wedding

After 2012's Indian wedding 'with the elephant', I was so excited to return for yet another incredible Ritz Carlton Denver wedding. Meghana and Aseem's wedding was just as beautiful and crammed full with vibrant color and warm friendship. It all started with their 'Sangeet', one part of their wedding weekend, which was held at The Terrace Gardens at Dove Valley. The next day we kicked things off early at Denver's own Ritz-Carlton.

And this is what i just love about all the Indian weddings I have the privilege of photographing. There are so many wonderful ceremonies and traditions throughout the day that give these Indian weddings their unique character and culture. There's the Gowri Puja, the Bangle Ceremony, the Haldi, the Sehra Bundi, the Baraat, and of course the wedding ceremony itself. Meg and Aseem's families come from different parts of the country and don't know one another - but I was amazed and touched by how they all came together as one community, one family, and celebrated the Bride and Groom's marriage together.

If you've ever been to an Indian wedding before you know you're going to see a few special performances at both the Sangeet and the wedding. Well, Meghana and Aseem's family didn't disappoint. In fact, I think they 'raised the bar' for anyone who was in attendance when they really took these performances to the next level! The break dancers and the 'dirty dancing' sing-off were just a couple highlights, as were the emotional toasts by their siblings and parents.

It truly is an honor and a blessing to be able to photograph so many Indian weddings here in Denver. My life is definitely richer because of it. Now, on with the photographs!
