The Sebastian Vail Wedding - Caroline and John
As I like to say, I specialize in serving kindhearted couples at their elegant weddings with vibrant, in-the-moment photography. Well, the Sebastian Vail wedding of Caroline and John had elegance and vibrance in spades, and so many wonderful moments it's hard to know where to begin. I suppose though that I should begin with our kindhearted couple, Caroline and John.
They truly are remarkable individuals and together they make a beautiful pair. They met at Denison University out in Ohio and they and many of their friends brought that O-H-I-O energy out here to Vail, Colorado to celebrate this momentous occasion in the mountain air.
After getting ready at the Sebastian, Caroline and John had a 'first look' in Vail village and we got some wonderful photos of the two of them around town before joining up with the rest of the crew. After that it was a quick ride over to the Beaver Creek Chapel for their wedding ceremony followed by cocktail hour at the Beaver Creek Chophouse. Then, it was back to the Sebastian...
Kellie Barth and her team with Colorado Wedding Company, along with The Perfect Petal absolutely transformed the reception space with vibrant summer hues and woodgrain textures. And then, with the help of Amaretto, all the way from Washington DC, and a hefty dose of that O-H-I-O energy I mentioned earlier, the party was O-N.
This amazing day in Vail was truly special. And these smiles and moments will forever be etched in memory. (Like, the groomsmen's selfie stick. And when everyone sang 'Sweet Caroline'. And when, at the end of the father-daughter dance to 'Cinderella' when the lyrics say 'and she'll be gone' Caroline twirled out of her father's arms and off the dance floor. Yeah, I'll never forget that one...)
Finally, a huge shout out to TJ Romero for assisting me with his photo skills at the wedding! And here are some of my favorite photos!
